This movie has JOSS WHEDON written all over it

This movie reminded me so much of how Joss Whedon said he wanted to make Alien Resurrection, and the characters were so similar to those of Firefly (Treat Williams' character is the spitting image of Malcolm Reynolds) that I was actually shocked to find out Joss didn't actually write this movie. Everything about Deep Rising seems to scream out his name. Needless to say, I loved it.

And tell me that Kevin O'Connor's character isn't basically Kaylee and Jayne rolled into one.

well i would say more like kaylee(engineer) simon(afraid) though simon wasn't that much afraid so between simon and walsh.
