A DEEP RISING Tribute in a DIE HARD Flick?

Did anyone else have an epiphany the moment in A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD when the cast is on the elevator and notice that the music playing is "The Girl From Ipanema" . . . just like in DEEP RISING?

Well, that was the first thought that struck me during the scene, anyhow. Steve V.

"The Girl From Ipanema" is also playing when The Blues Brothers are in the elevator in the Cook County Building.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me. There are ways, Dude.

I did notice that actually.

It was the only time I smiled throughout that entire movie.

It's not a homage or a tribute. The Girl From Ipenema is a very well known standard of what's called 'muzak'(ie the stuff played in elevators, supermarkets and when put on 'hold' on the telephone) and plays in millions of elevators all over the world.
