Deep Rising wasn't even a terrible monster movie but it ate it at the box office, how did Steven Sommers score The Mummy after that?

I thought the same thing. He helmed a bomb, then they gave him another bucketful of money.

But it's interesting to see the trademark Sommers touches in Deep Rising, that he continued to use in The Mummy series and still uses today.🐭
