Asking about a coffee machine and beans in 96?
This movie was ahead of its time. Nobody cared what brand bean was used in the 90s or the machine used.
We just wanted it hot and fresh.

Lived in Los Angeles in 96 and they most certainly cared about what beans were used. Perhaps it was a west coast thing since others say it was also a concern in the northwest.
shareProbably just me not noticing this being a thing for awhile.
shareI don't think it was really mainstream until starbucks, and even then their biggest competitor for a while was Winchell's because many people would much rather pat $0.75 for a cup of joe instead of $3+ for a coffeehouse gourmet brew. Also, unless you had a local coffeehouse you probably never had a chance to care.
shareMy Uncle and Aunt have cared about their coffee beans since the 80s. Can't speak for earlier as I wasn't born yet.
