Ice Cube's character not very likable

This movie had a good premise but Ice Cube's character wasn't very likable. He was very aggressive and mean with Elizabeth Hurley most of the time and shoving her around. He always had a bad attitude and even yelled at his mom and she was crying over Stephen's death! That scene really made me hate Ice Cube. Half the time his character seemed like a street thug but then its this culture shock when he returns to South Africa and sees all the crime around him. I also didn't like how he kept talking about race and "Struggle" even though apartheid is over. They could have just made a movie about him dealing with Stephen's situation without bringin all the social stuff into it.

From the voice, it sounds like his fiancee is white though, just sayin.
