With all the controversy over police shooting black men these days, it seems very appropriate.
I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

Way ahead of its time - since, you know, 1997 was before Reconstruction, Segregation and the Civil Rights movement. Until this movie came out, no innocent black people were ever depicted as being killed by governmental authorities in cinematic history. Yeah, that's it.
