Cyrus wasn't evil but rather an opportunist

I mean all he wanted was to escape. And he only killed people that he had to. He didn't kill anybody personally. Also he stopped Johnny 23 from raping Guard Bishop. I mean I liked Cyrus and I felt bad for him in the end. And at the end of the day he only wanted to be free. Because he had no possibility of parole, and prison is the worst place you could ever be. Me personally, if I was serving life without the possibility of parole, I would rather be put to death. I'm pretty sure that Cyrus wanted to have his head smashed in the end since he knew that his plan to escape failed. I think that even if he could move, he would have just commited suicide. You see what I mean?

Thanks for your post, George. It's important to note that morality is relative in most movies, and even the second most half-decently written Nicolas Cage blockbuster from 1997 can portray the antagonist as justified in his or her actions. Con Air is a movie with many layers to it.

I know that. But do you understand why I feel that way?

Indeed, George. You explained your feelings on the subject very well.
