I've seen people question the ending

And some suggest Kevin Smith left it up to us to decide.

That is possible, but I think that if that's true it would destroy the message of the film, which is when you've got something good don't be a jackass. If you love someone the past is the past because if you can't handle that you'll lose her. That was Smith's message as Silent Bob message to Affleck's character, which he totally missed and made the same mistake as Bob.

Basically the movie is a warning to asshats not to be jackasses.

true.. but you still can be hopeful that maybe, just maybe, that revelation hasn't come too late. Although as of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back no reconcililation had happened. But not closing it off entirely at least let's us hope for the best.

There's a reason why men freak out upon revelation of a partners history. It's not some mental or biological fault.

In other words I disagree with silent bob when he said that she "wasn't looking for that guy any more, she wanted the bob".

Maybe she wanted "the bob" for a few minutes after seeing a baby in a carriage and figured it'd be a good idea to settle down with a goofy beta who'll take her *beep* because she's more experienced and attractive.

I'd like to see the look on Bob's dumb face after a few years of bad sex, and he walks in on Amy getting DP'd by two hot guys in his bedroom and the words "fool" coming to mind.

Sorry, all those years of hanging with Jay, drinking beer and cheese whizz, and growing an ugly beard will not save your ass from a promiscuous woman with a filthy past.

Fortunately, MFM threesomes make up only a fraction of women out there? Holden and Bob had some bad finds.

Misogyny is a stinky cologne.

Can't stop the signal.
