I'm of the opinion that Hollywood couples aren't like normal couples anyway, in the sense that they never last so there isn't the same expectations.

Anyway, if the director directing his girlfriend to make out with another man (a friend at that) upsets you than I strongly suggest you avoid the 1981 film Excalibur where the Director directs a sex scene involving nudity the actress being his own daughter.

Sometimes a movie or tv show plot is so stupid that only the stupid can understand it.
