shareYou know, I hadn't watched Chasing Amy since the late-90s until right now, and the movie is at that parking lot scene. I didn't realize when I was younger how good of an actress she was, which is really evident in that scene. I had to pause it and come to the forums here to see if other people noticed that too, or if nostalgia was influencing my perception of her acting...
She really is a great actor, especially when it comes to emotional scenes like that. I'm 37, and I can't ever remember watching a woman act that well when it comes to sobbing rage. But I dunno, there are other times -- like some of the slow-burning dialogue -- in which her performance seems kinda stilted. Maybe she was just really good with balls-out emoting.
