Not as Glamorous according to porn producer I met - He wrote a Book

(If anyone is interested, I did put a link at the bottom)

I wonder how many gals think doing porn is this "glamorous"...not that it was too glamorous in this great movie but still more than the real thing.

The crazy thing is that over 10,000 girls try porn each year...average age is 19. It is a crazy sub culture of gals trying to out do each other, get a permanent gig in a production team, etc. Only a few hundred bucks is the typical pay.

I know a Chicago guy who was involved in porn and did his own material for a few years (for online). The real porn star he met was the most brutal - she suggested being rather vicious to the new girls and to not take any "princess *beep* Like she was jaded from being put through the ringer of the biz.

He published a book. This story is pretty screwed up. It is strange that so many young girls are dying to perform sex in front of the camera for a few hundred bucks. He even ended up falling in love with one of the girls who was a rape victim, etc. (He was not cut out for it) He got a ton of housewives that would send him applications to just get him to validate their looks and offer them a gig and then they wouldn't show up as they only wanted the flattery of the offer..lol

I can only vouch that the story is totally true. I never met any of the girls but I've seen the evidence clearly and the guy is actually a nice, clean cut person who is successful and now married. He got involved to serve his own needs rather than biz reasons & feels rather guilty about it now.

He wrote the book as a memoir and to sort of educate on sex addiction, etc.

I personally find it fascinating.

If you are interested -

I think it is on Barnes and Noble too (Nook?) but I didn't have a link

Hey, this book was actually really good. The author is funny and self-deprecating and never really brags about his experiences. He seems like smart guy. The story about him nearly getting jumped if hilarious and Russian mobsters trying to set him up is crazy. The pictures are just enough to get a feel and not ultra vulgar...

It seems like girls have only recently had the chance to explore or reveal their own fantasies and the internet has helped - you can explore quietly and dip your toe into many ponds now.

The housewife who sends a porn producer her self snapshots in order to get an offer is actually sad as it's pretty clear that they are not getting that approval from home and just finding out "that I'm sexy enough to get an offer from a porno producer" fulfills something they need. The sexuality of women is pretty fascinating. In the old porn days (and much of today) the women are simply emulating male fantasies. But now that a girl can get involved for herself via online website or just a scene or two has allowed a peek into the mind of women..they are often perverts too..lol

All in all, a really good book on this stuff. He usually did it alone which is so crazy when you think of how many girls are meeting a lone stranger in a hotel for a few hundred bucks. Not junkies but regular girls. Crazy risk for a few dollars.

Looks like the famous cliche of "deadbeat dads create strippers and porn girls" is heavily based in reality.

It's more than "a few hundred dollars". Chicks are paid at least $1500 per boy on girl scene and perhaps half of that for girl on girl. This was ten years ago so I am sure the price is higher nowadays.

Perhaps not. Ten years ago, porn was a much bigger business, since they were able to monetise it much more, as a lot more people were paying for content. These days, the tube sites are giving away high-quality full-length porn for free, making it much tougher for the creators to earn living.

It is all scaled according to star power just like the regular film industry. People use the term "porn star" loosely to point out an adult film actor but there are actual "stars" in the business who command slightly more than a few hundred bucks. Those few hundred bucks are the girls you see on Bang Bus or the ones you see streaming for free.

Porn seems to be made up of two groups of women. Naive and "not smart" 18-21 year olds that get into it for all the wrong reasons, and leave after one or two years. And 30+ women that get into it and seem to actually enjoy it because they can handle it.

Doesn't seem to be much in between.
