I watch this movie for the music, but there are also a few qoutes in the movie that has stuck on my mind, like these:

Aretha Franklin: "You treat me with respect, matt murphy."
Matt Murphy: "I always do, honey."
Aretha Franklin: "you know what i mean when i say R.E.S.P.E.C.T." (Song starts)

Donald Dunn: "Hey, we're back on the road again!"
Steve Cropper: "Who are you, Willie Nelson?"

(Elwood finds out that Curtis has passed away)
Elwood: "Curtis was the closest thing to a father that Jake and I ever had. He gave us the Music."

James Brown: "He who's without sin cast the first stone"

They return to "Country Bob's Club" 18 years later. (After getting in trouble there in the first movie 1980)
Country Bob: "Wait a minute... Don't I know you boys from somewhere?"
Donald Dunn: "Check Please!"
