One Question

Dont really like the movie...the original was vastly superior.

One thing they never explained though....is why the orphanage was demolished? Didn't they pay the taxes for it at the end of the original movie? They even got a receipt I recall.

reply

Yep, they paid the taxes for ***that year***. However, this piece of tripe takes place almost twenty years later.

Alright, i got one question too then. I've only seen this movie once and it was the day it came out in theaters like, 8 years ago so I barely remember it and to be honest...I'm glad I don't(Ima a big belushi fan). But, the one thing I could never find out is why they never gave an explanation as to what happened to Belushi's character...or did they?, like I said, I cant remember hardlyt any of it. If they did, post the reason, I'd sure in the hell like to know. - thanks

reply

As much as I got, they just said he died (Aretha Franklin said to Elwood she was sorry about it when they met).

reply

When Elwood is standing in front of the prison all day/night the warden finally comes out to tell him about the passing of his brother.

It's was really moving, the dialouge free opening of the film... but I think they should've mentioned something about Jake's death later on in the film, like dedicate their performance in his memory, or something.

I wasn't even born when Belushi died, but I've seen his work, and he was great. Such a shame that he died.
