A GOOD MOVIE! YES!!!

Okey! I can imagine those middle forty's guys nagging and hating this movie. Those unconditional hard core John Belushi cult fanatics. So far they keept me convince to avoid this flick for years. Got it almost for free today and i can say that i really enjoyed. When you think you might have heard the best song in the movie, it just come an even better one (even if the credits are all rolled!). Don't care about plots (the first one wasn't thaaat good either, let's face it). The humor is not bad either, kind of surreal at the worst, but that's the world of The Blues Brothers. I don't see why this film is hated so much. I just love it! Just my humble opinion.

It has nothing to do with 40 year old guys who loved John Belushi. I was 14 years old when this movie came out, and I thought it was terrible! John Belushi was one of the Blues Brothers, John Goodman and Joe Morton were not. This movie has NO plot, he gets the band "back together" for absolutely no reason. The kid serves no purpose and is annoying. It pays tribute WAY too much to the original. The music was fantastic! And that's the only redeeming fact of the entire movie. He just makes John Goodman a member of the band because he's a good singer, then changes his last name to Blues for no reason except to make the name of the band make more sense. Awful in every way!

You have a point. Still, i like the movie. Musicals can have a silly plot. Who ever care about the deep characters and story in a Astaire-Rogers movie? Unless we have good actors like in "Fiddler on the roof" musicals are good or not because of it music.
