I think they should make one more..... hear me out!
The Blues Brothers was a good movie. Blues Brothers 2000 was a terrible movie. Let's get that straight right away.
Now, I think for a third Blues Brothers movie, they need to go back and look at what made the first film good: story, character, acting, comedy, and music. That's what made it great. BB2000 was just a rehash. They need to be original.
Now knowing Hollywood and their stupid sequel titles these days, they would call this one: The Blues Brother.
For the third movie, they could sort of forget about most of what happened in BB2000 to a point. It opens with Elwood living in secrecy, avoiding the law, seeing as how he's the #1 most wanted man in the universe. It's easy for him to hide, he just doesn't wear his hat or glasses and he uses the fake name Dan. The old orphanage is gone. Mother Mary Stigmata is dead. Their old church is gone.
Long story short, Elwood is sent on a "mission from God" to raise money for a community case that plans to restore the neighborhood and rebuild the orphanage. So as you may have guessed, he goes out to put the band back together...again. Except this time several band members are deceased, some have moved far away, and the ones who aren't won't play without the ones mentioned above. What now? Build a new band! So along with John Goodman and Buster, who's now an adult, set out to recruit a new Blues band.
And this time, they should at least include a picture of John Belushi or a very honorable mention!
