i dont know why the gator boys won, everytime they have to sing i skip that part, maybe its just a matter of taste but still.

That was a fine rendition of "How Blue Can You get", so I didn't mind them winning, but had I been the scriptwriter, I'd have made it a tie. The following "New Orleans" jam would have made more sense then.
Taste differs of course and I'm sure at least half the viewers may agree with you.
I hate most of these ensemble pieces, and you know what they say about "too many cooks".
