This Movie was good!!

Having recently rewatched it on HBO, I have to say that this film is great. I grew up watching The Blues Brothers and dancing and singing along to Jake and Elwood and I was pretty sad when John Belushi died. Having said that, Blues Brothers 2000 was good. As people have said before, it's more of a tribute to the first rather than a sequel. Also a tribute to John Belushi and Cab Calloway. This movie focuses greatly on the music and less on a story so maybe that's where people are getting hung up. Each movie has its strengths and weakness. People just can't accept new things and will forever think that the original is the greatest thing ever and that even talking about a sequel is blasphemy. It's about the music dudes. Enjoy it.
