Blues Brother 2000 is, in your opinion, one of the WORST films?
My friend, you aren't paying attention.
The music giants are in this.
The music, it's all about the music.
Now, go watch cartoons.
It's all gonna be alright!
"The music giants are in this."
Oh, you mean in that terrible ensemble number at the end. I hated that, and I like the blues, dammit!
p.s. Steve Winwood, WTF?!
with the selection you have chosen, you must have see a dozen films in your life,
how about these-
Tarzan the ape man (the 1 where it takes half a movie for Richard Harris to die)
Highlander 2
Shaun of the dead

No, Blues Brothers 2000 really is the worst film i have ever seen. Whenever me or someone i know (after watching any bad film) comment that it is the worst movie ever, we all stop and think 'but was it as bad as BB 2002?' and they never are. This film actually made me want to kill. Oh God i just remembered the zombie bit. . . i've upset myself now.

Anyone who has seen the original Blues Brothers and then doesn't think that BB 2000 is one of the most god awful, in it for the money, terribly acted and scripted films of all time must be dead from the waist up.
The first half of the film is exactly the same as the first one, except without James Belushi, no good songs and exceptionally bad, and the second half just decends into utter, utter rubbish: people go green, turn into rats, and it has a terrible extended, boring jamming session from musicians who haven't done anything decent in years i.e Clapton, BB King. Actually BB King has NEVER done anything decent. And the bit where the cop takes off and "sees the light"? Sweet Jesus. I actually felt violated at the end. James Belushi was spinning in his grave when they made this.
Oh and Jason X is class.
The music was the only good thing in it.
My worst films (of recent times) are:
-Cat in the Hat
-Garfield
-Envy
-Bringing Down the House
-Queen of the Damned

Here's mine:
1. Catwoman (I nearly strangled my friend that took me to see this film that could even be considred worse than an Ed Wood flick.)
2.House of the Dead (Makes Friday the 13th Part V look like The Silence of the Lambs.)
3.Jason X (One person in the movie said, "Oh, this sucks on so many levels!". Strange how a film can perfectly describe itself
I cant believe this message board. Listing Shaun of the Dead as one of the worst films of all time? In my opinion it was the best film from last year. also Nosferatu is clearly one of the greatest films of the Weimar Republic era and has no place being called one of the worst films made. And Alien Reserection, while having its faults, still managed to show case the brilliance of Jeunet, and i loved getting to see Dominique Pinon in an American film.
whats wrong with you guys? someone needs to sit you down and show you some trully classless cinema so you can appreciate just how good these films are. go see Crispin Glover's "What Is It" for purely hateful film making, or Trolls 2, a movie about gremlins and not trolls at all. then there is always Spiceworld to see a big budget being wasted and a lot of celebrities disgracing themselves forever. or what about Ladder 49, that was pure tripe. then of course you have the well of ed wood movies to visit.
Blues brothers 2000, bad though it may be, really isnt in the same league as some bad movies.
ps i agree on Jason X though, with the exception of the Camp Crystal Lake scene that film was meritless.
Dude, what you started to say made since. I was agreeing with you all the way man. Until you had to say Lader 49 was one of the worst movies ever. You dont have to like it, but theres no possibly *beep* way you can put it in the same catagorie as Spiceworld and Trolls 2. And I guess I am the only one who likes Friday the 13th movies. I dont like them for good acting or story plots, I like them for some hardcore teen/pre-maridal sex/drugs killing. Not that I like killin people or anything, their just classics. And I think you have Jason X confused with Freddy vs. Jason, cause there are no Camp Crystal Lake scenes, except at the begining but its not Camp Crystal Lake anymore it's a reseach facility. JUGGALOS RIZE UP!
I like making fun of people, it makes me feel better about myself.
Queen of the Damned?? Are you on crack??
xX Sassy
(Phuck you...how's that for constructive?)
Queen of the Damned was a piece of *beep* How the *beep* could you like that movie. Read the *beep* book, it's a lot *beep* better. But that movie was a piece of *beep* It sucks balls that Allieya had to die and be remember for that movie being her last. *beep* BALLS man. I think she should be remeber for Romeo Must Die, cause that movie was crack fo shizzle bro. But *beep* man, read the book Queen of the Damned, it's a lot *beep* better.
I like making fun of people, it makes me feel better about myself.

The disrespect for great musicianship almost makes me sick sometimes. The statement that Blues Brothers 2000 was 'in it for the money' is overtly rediculous. Anyone who has seen anything with Dan Ackroyd knows his passion for blues and R&B is deeper than any passion you're likely to feel in your life.
Secondly, there are plenty of good songs throughout the entire movie. This remains one of the top soundtracks, and is respected by the best bluesmen in the world. Obviously, you dont fall in that group.
Lastly, BB King has never done anything decent?? Do you know who BB King is? Do you own a blues record besides the original Blues Brothers soundtrack? BB King has done amazing work throughout his career. Eric Clapton is one of the best guitarists in the world. Just because blues is no longer mainstream does not mean that these artists do not stop producing wonderful music.
I suggest that you maybe go back and learn a little about blues and soul music before you bash an honest attempt to spread it to the masses.
Whoever said Deep Blue Sea is definitely onto something. It is an awful film. Why? Why? Why? Go to the trouble of establishing Samuel L Jackson's character as a mysterious man who saved a bunch of people in an avalanche just to have him eaten mid-sentence. Im all for breaking movie conventions but this was downright blasphemous writing, horrendous in fact.
As for Blues Brothers 2000, I saw a brilliant comedy sketch once by Reeves and Mortimer which depicted John Landis, Dan Aykroyd and some other BB2000 chracters all urinating in to John Belushi's grave. The caption was guess the film.
I understand why some people dislike Shaun of the Dead but I thought it rocked. I have to say it wasnt quite as good the second time round but I was still fascinated by the idea tha "Dogs cant look up." Simon Pegg is a very funny man.
My Top Five Worst Films Ever (excluding anything I have seen on late night TV or Hallmark Channel)
The Road to Wellville. (This is THE worst movie ever made.)
Deep Blue Sea.
XXX
Godzilla.
Pearl Harbour.
So strange that I have two Matthew Broderick films in my top five worst, and Ferris Buellers Day Off is in my top five greats. Well I think its interesting anyway.
Some other bonus Rubbish Movies
Fear X.
Big Mommas House.
Next Friday.
We Were Soldiers.
Ghost World.

Oh come now. Have none of you seen Batman and Robin, or any of the movies made by The Olsen Twins or hilary duff? the true worst films. utter crap
“How happy is the blameless vestal’s lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot."
¿¿b.b. king has never done anything decent, really?? ¿¿ really??
that's interesting, in a sick sort of a way, to hear the b.b.king has never done anything decent. hhmmmm.
and don't worry, belushi was waaaaay to stoned when he died to be spinning in his grave at this late date.
alvink
Jason X is Crap and where the hell have you been living. James Belushi is alive and well. The dead guy is his brother John.

Jam sessions are boring ?
Do you know how much is that clapton and bb king are famous ? its something like 45 and 65 years respectively. Take respect instead of talking like a metal guy.
You 're like the antichrist of music. Please , go away.
Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
Having socks in your mouth doesn't make you a good actor.
Check your choices. Shaun of the Dead is the most brilliant spoof I've ever seen in my life.
shareShaun of the Dead is actually much funnier, and more originally than Blues Brothers 25 years after.
shareif you want the 3 worst films of all time here they are
young phyco's in love
godzilla
cat in the hat
in that order
>young phyco's in love
...what? Do you mean "Young Psychos in Love" or are you talking about the Gorman Bechard film "Psychos in Love"? If the latter... ok, I almost give that to you... but it was intentional camp and one of my favorite movies of all time (although for mostly sentimental reasons). I'm sure you can find far worse films if you look. Blade Trinity leaps to mind...

Sorry but he;s write, this movie was a pale, pale imitation of the original. Rehashed skits and gags with either older actors or different onces is not many people's idea of a great movie. And I love Aretha's music to death, but it looks like half the movie budget went into her food allowance.
