Why the low rating?
The songs are fantastic!
It's funny how hip hop changed the situation!

I finally got around to watching after re-watching the original BB for the upteenth time and also enjoyed it...an inferior sequel, but it had a lot of the same elements as the original (all though they could've done without the carribbean "possession" scene as well as Erika Badyuh turning everyone into rats...was a bit over the top IMO).
The music was sensational, agreed! But it DID lose something without Belushi...the filmmakers definitely had an uphill battle the whole time. I honestly couldn't see this type of film (an R&B musical/comedy) succeeding at the B.O. in the late 90s...maybe had it come 2-3 years after the original...maybe. A victim of its time.

The music is great, the players are very entertaining and the Lousianna Gator Boys are worth the cost of the DVD in any event. People need to let it go.
