Am I the only one who thought it was alright?
Nowhere near as good as the first one, obviously, but it's lightweight and entertaining enough. And the 'Ghost Riders in the Sky' scene is pretty good....

shareYes you are. I thought it was brilliant.
Happy Birthday Ian Mckellen, Jamie Kennedy & Frank Oz!!!
I tend to think it's pretty bad, but redeeming features?
* Ed's Love Exchange. That was a good sequence (other than when than blonde haired kid gets dragged on)
* Nia Peeples who makes the most of the role she's given.
* "Follow that mound of moss!" (that was a good original line, and NOT stolen from the original.)
Goodman is a good actor, but they shouldn't have tried to make him a "brother". Something else could have been done with him.
"Ghost Riders" was all a bit pointless, and a retread of the Bob's Country Bunker Joke.

It wasn't great, but there were lots of good scenes. The Kid wasn't an annoying character, and the soundtrack is tremendous. Definitely get the soundtrack. You'll play it all the time.
shareI actually enjoyed most of this film - you have to permanently suspend your disbelief from the first minute, but this film is really in the form of a fantasy or 'tall' tale and makes no apologies for it's outrageous sequences.
It really boils down to a series of performances from legendary musicians loosely connected by an unbelievable sequence of 'road movie' stunts and car chases.
There's nothing deep and meaningful to be had here and trying to rationalize the story would be pointless.
Two hours of 'light entertainment'. I liked it - 6 out of 10.
10=Exceptional 9=Brilliant 8=Excellent 7=V.Good 6=Good 5=Average 4=Poor 3=Bad 2=Terrible 1=Rubbish
i think its fantastic...in the true sense of the word...
it gives you a good laugh, and a good feeling...it doesnt need to do anymore...
I loved every minute of this film, I've seen it at least 15-20 times. IMO I thought it was better than the first, the first to me seemed like an ok film, but everyone has their own opinions. I really hope they make another one the film was somewhat left open and the ending could've been better.
shareIt was watchable, I wouldn't mind seeing it again. It's just I don't have the heart to put it in the same level as the original.
shareI love the first one, but the second one? Well it's not what I would called the worst, but it's also not the best. I would tend to put it out more like one of those "So bad, it's good" kind of films. Or "So good, it's bad." However you wanna look at it that way.
And I realize I wasn't the only one who felt like the ending had left us with a cliffhanger. I was hoping to find out what would happen to Buster and Elwood, but then it just ends up....there. We never get to see if they got away from the cops or not. That bug the crap outta me a lot since I saw this sequel.
