Why was Johnny Lang in this film?

I was in choir classes from 6th grade to my senior year. I will admit I am not a good solo singer. But at least I know when you sing you use your diaphragm. Johnny was singing from this throat. He sounded like a bullfrog dying. Am I the only one who realizes he can't sing? He is an excellent guitar player, I will give him that. But he is a TERRIBLE singer.

His singing wasn't good enough, especially during the credits. Also, the way he squints his eyes and convulses his body when he sings makes it look like he's in agony and it's awkward to watch.

Johnny Lang sings blues, not opera.

He is the worst blues singer I ever heard

Maybe Lang sang that way to sound older. He was only about seventeen when "The Blues Brothers 2000" was filmed.

The late Jeff Healey was a great blues guitar player and singer. He played the blind singer/guitar player in the movie "Road House".

Jonny Lang has a fantastic voice. Just because you think it's terrible doesn't mean it is. There are a lot of singers I can't stand who are popular with other people. It's a matter of personal impression.

I love the raw emotion that comes out when he sings.
