Just watched it for the first time.
I actually really liked it. Granted, nowhere near as much as the original. but this movie should only be looked at as a tribute to Belushi imo. Music was very good.

shareI'm watching it again tonight from memory it is just an enjoyable film
I have seen worse films that have won Oscars
It's not the abomination that people make it out to be. This film suffers from the Ghostbusters 2 syndrome. Take a cult classic film and make sequel that is nowhere near as good as the first but still a enjoyable one and fans tear it apart calling it a abomination. There are worse films out there trust me.
shareI also just recently watch the sequel for the first time ever about yesterday since I was bored and I felt like in the mood to watch something new. I don't hate it like everyone else does, but it's really hard to like something that fails to be good, I just find it to be decently okay I suppose.

I thought it was an amazing tribute to the original. No way as bad as some people make out. I introduced both films to my teen kids. We all agree the first is an iconic masterpiece from its gritty intro to Chicago, epic car chases, spectacular comedic timing, music, to Jake and his psychopathic girlfriend. Yes, 2000 can never live up to the original but it gave us gave us a nostalgic hug nonetheless.
