18 years on, this has actually gotten better
I didn't like this when I first saw it, but now I enjoy it just for the music and the fact that they said "*beep* it, let's make a sequel".
shareLike I said in another thread, while the overall movie's compromised a bit, I thought the first few minutes of Elwood waiting for Jake and then going to see the penguin were very well done. At this point in my life, I identify more with Elwood experiencing loss. And the musical numbers are all amazing. And not just the soundtrack, but actually getting to watch the performances.
