I just saw parts of this thing and could barely stomach it. Blues Brothers 2000 is a true abomination film and a pure disgrace to the original. My eyes hurt for having seen it.
Now, I know Dan also made Caddyshack 2 and up until now I thought THAT was the worst sequel ever made. It's a toss up now.
(Note: you can add Batman & Robin and Highlander 2 to the mix)
Yet no mention of Grease 2 or The Fly 2 to name a few
shareAww, don't be so harsh on it. It's not remotely as great as the original, but it is essentially a bunch of good music paired with a silly story. In essence, that's what the first movie was as well.
shareas bad as it is, some of the music was, well, okay. So because of that Manniquin 2 or Weekend at Bernies 2 are the worst.

As far as strictly a movie, maybe not the worst but a pretty bad sequel. I will say the music was the only good thing about this was the music. Although I love Aretha, I am so sick of Respect. For better or worse that is her signature tune. The musical finale of the Louisiana Gator Boys almost made up for sitting though this car wreck of a movie.
