Alternate Version.

Has anyone ever seen the version where haru tries to buy another copy of the scroll that he burned. One time when the movie was on T.V. they showed it, but this seen doesn't appear anywhere on the DVD or under alternate versions on this website.

reply

i saw it when it was on tv a couple years ago. he finds the scroll in an antique store. he then destroys many valuable items in the store trying to catch a fly. apparently catching a fly was part of his training that was also cut from the beginning of the movie. and you're right, the scene is not on the dvd or anywhere else. this is not unheard of. there are other movies that include extra scenes when aired on tv that do not appear in the version available for purchase.

reply

Relly? That's weird! I really wanna see that scene now!

Mister E.

reply

a lot of times extra scenes are shown on airplane versions of films, according to length of flight.

reply

ya i saw that on tv a couple weeks ago and the owner just shouts get out get out. by the way the guy tries to sell it to haru for$40,000

reply

yea i saw it on tv once it is a funny scene i think they should have kept it
but the 'scroll' he tries to by is actually a seismograph printout (the things that measure earthquakes) and haru exclaims that it is one and the same as the one containing the legend pertaining to hte great white ninja

reply

I noticed that more recently with the movie "Road Trip." The dvd is a lot different from what ABC showed last year.

reply

is it a deleted scene on the dvd or is it a special dvd that tv stations get?

reply

Yeah. I saw that scene on tv too. It was pretty lame, so I see why they cut it out of the regular version.

They do this with Billy Madison too. On tv they show a kickball scene where he hits on the hot French maid.

reply

they should have just cut the whole movie. It was terrible from start to finish. I'm a big Farley fan as well so that made it more disappoining.

reply

You're a complete idiot if you're a Farley fan and hated this film.

I saw the alternate scene and was surprised and happy about something new. I have seen this film many times. To me it was hilarious and wish it was on the DVD. I wish he was still alive to provide us with more laughable films. RIP Chris. This is my second favorite film of his as Tommy Boy is my first.

I searched for some intelligent words to reply to your comment, but I think I will just stick with "Bite Me".
