The songs 'Kung-Fu Fighting'.....

I'm just wondering...This movie has two versions of the song "Kung-Fu Fighting" in it. The first one is right when Haru yells "Nobody messes with my brother!" and the second one is right when the credits begin.
Were both of those versions written specifically for the movie, or did the moviemakers find the song and decided to use them for the movie?

The song "Kung Fu Fighting" has been around in one form or another for a long time...
