Saw it in theaters.

My cousin and I were jazzed to see this film. Within 5 minutes of the movie starting, I knew it was a mistake. I didn't say anything because I assumed he was enjoying the flick. He did the same. After the movie was over, we admitted how awful it was in the theater lobby. For three days, we laughed and complained about the movie... which was much more entertaining than the movie itself.

Anyone else see it in theaters.

Was pretty hyped to see it after seeing pics in magazines, the trailers etc. Arnie as a villain a first since T1, Clooney the pretty cool ER guy from Dusk Till Dawn, Uma and Alicia both hip 'of the moment' gals ..expected it to be like Forever (same director) semi serious but still retaining some of Burtons gothic elements..

But yes within about 5 minutes it was clear it was going to be the worst 'camp/neon' elements of Forever dialled up to 11 and it went downhill from there. I guess with Forever some of the Burton gothic feel crossed over as he was initially involved as he was going to do a 3rd so overall it wasn't without some merit. but here Burton or any gothic/dark elements were cut loose and went 'full Joel Shumaker' (although the bit with Freeze's wife in the tank and making her ice sculpture in Arkham was fairly Burtonesque with Elfmany music). One word was in my mind throughout and after coming out the theatre in a neon punned daze - 'pantomime'. It was also pretty much the 60s TV show on the big screen with a 100m budget/big stars but that's being generous as it was much worse than the idea of that could ever be (maybe that was the idea to do a big screen version of the 60s show?..it was after all the mid/late 90s when the 60s were back in vogue via Britpop, nostalgia for Beatles, Bond, Michael Caine etc and other 60s TV stuff was being remade into movies around then like Mission Impossible, Avengers, Lost in Space etc - which were all kicked off by The Fugitive )
