Cast Batman Triumphant

The film that was supposed to be the follow-up Batman & Robin for approx. 1999.

This is who I would have cast:

Batman/Bruce Wayne - Alec Baldwin
The Joker - Willem Dafoe
The Scarecrow/Doctor Jonathan Crane - Jeremy Irons
Harley Quinn/Doctor Harleen Quinzel - Sarah Michelle Gellar
Robin/Dick Grayson - Joshua Jackson
Batgirl/The Oracle/Barbara Gordon - Alicia Witt
Alfred Pennyworth - John Neville
Commissioner Gordon - Tom Skerritt
Joe Chill - Brad Dourif
Lew Moxon - Robert Loggia
Mallory Moxon - Jeanne Tripplehorn

Sarah Michelle Gellar as Harley Quinn could work but could be risky.
I'd prefer Jeff Goldblum or Ralph Fiennes as the Scarecrow.

Director= Tim Burton. I'd have Andy Davis two times before this but I'd bring Tim back for one final time.

Batman=Keaton or Kilmer.

Nightwing=Ewan McGregor. I'd have him show up halfway due to being at college. Barbara takes his place in the first half but they need him for the second half.

Batgirl=Alica Whitt. She'd be in Robin's spot and the 2nd in command. I'd allow Alica to be sexier and more badass this time.

Scarecrow/Crane=Jeff Goldblum. Crane is the head of Arkham who was a childhood classmate of Wayne's. There was a friendly rivalry that grew in magnitude as they got older but there is always a respect. Crane abuses his power however by both allowing the prisoners to be abused and drugs are being created that look harmless yet they eff up people's minds. Crane wants control of the black market of Drugs and control of Gotham. He fights with Batman here and there but he doesn't hate him until halfway when he finds out Batman's ID.

Harley Quinn= Claire Florani. This one was tough. The earlier choices were kind of lame tbh (Courtney Love, no thanks, Madonna, nope, Jennifer Tilly, maybe.) I always had a thing for Claire and always thought she was underrated and deserved a big role this could have been it.

I'd have Harley referenced at the end of Forever as Selina gets put in Arkham but you don't see her. Instead I'd have Chase put her in there. Chase won't be here (instead I'd have her murdered earlier in the film by Harley but blamed internally on Selina.) Harley is the girl wonder of mental health and really bragged opon. However that is all a charade as she tortures patients (mainly Selina,) for kicks. Ala Jim Carrey in Forver she has a mega obsession with Bruce (which is ironic because her dad Jack Napier had quite the relationship with him,) and she tortures Selina due to Bruce's love for her. Thanks to her torture she finds out the truth and is pissed off so she tells her partner Crane who looses his mind over paranoia and they drug Bruce which brings the dream sequences.

Joker=Nicholson of course. I'd also include Penguin and Two Face.

Selina/Catwoman=Michelle Pffeifer. Making her grand return and finale in style, she joins the good side after breaking out of Arkham. However Bruce is poisoned so she and the kids must team to save him and herself. More on this in a bit.

Flouronic Man= Brad Douriff. I'd have him vs Batman and Batgirl at the start and they have a solid 20 min battle or so before getting caught and put in Arkham. He stays there the rest of the film and has an Exorcist 3 plot where he excels. He makes the Arkham scenes scarier.

Gordon/Alfred get one last hurrah.

I'd have this be the end of the original series. Hence why Keaton and Burton returns. It would drive die hards nuts but within my world it does work lol.

Anyways I'd have this be a mental movie but it'd have a lot of action. Batman and Bruce more or less have to endure hell mentally here but he finally comes to grips and overcomes his problems he gets an odd sense of peace.

Selina returns to the good side but keeps her cat persona to kick some ass. She manages to overcome the framing by Harley and kicks her ass resulting in her death (after a 5 min or so battle Harley falls down a ravine to her death holding a picture of Joker.) She teaches the kids a thing or two about being a badass but she is at least managing her mental issues and finally admits to loving Bruce. They decide to leave Gotham and go somewhere random where she can get treated and they decide to get married after that because you know the looney couple that stays together is happiest together.

Crane is driven crazy by an overdose of his gas (ala the animated series,) and is a total loss by the end. Arkham is closed and the government decides to rebuild a new asylum which is with max security in mind. The surviving Batman villains are put in a heavy duty prison.

Dick and Barbara grow up here too and at the end take over the mantle of keeping Gotham safe which they are fine with. Dick transfers to Gotham College instead of staying wherever he was. Alfred stays to help him and is relived of his butler duties by everyone and he owns the house technically. All is well in dark Gotham as Bruce and Selina fly into the night and with Dick and Barbara jumping off a building seemingly in camera focus (ala the Batman Forever video game ad.) Series ends and is re-launched years later.

Also, how about William Petersen as Batman?
