It's a shame she already played Dr. Chase Meridian within this universe because she would have been the perfect Poison Ivy/Dr. Pamela Isley circa 1990s, with her natural red hair, slender physique, long legs, and intelligent and mysterious persona.

Chase and Ivy should have been the same character. Nicole could appear as Pamela in Batman Forever and then become Ivy in Batman & Robin. She could hide her secret identity from Bruce, but he would discover her true evil nature when he begins to notice a dark turn in Pamela's personality and finds green blood when she accidentally cuts her finger.
But Chase was a good, sympathetic character (even if she did stupidly turn on the Bat-signal to get Batman's personal attention ). She wasn't evil. She helped Bruce through his trauma. It would all be undermined if she turned out to be Poison Ivy, and would make a mockery of the fact Batman saved her, especially when he failed to save the Ice Princess.
Plus, these films should be promoting strong, intelligent, sophisticated, educated women like Dr Chase Meridian. It's the bimbos who should be vilified and mocked.

I entirely agree, but I wasn't really talking about Poison Ivy. I was focusing on Dr. Chase Meridian and suggesting that it was a good thing her character never turned into a villain since we need positive female role-models (i.e. intelligent and heroic female characters - Poison Ivy was only intelligent, not heroic).

She could have been good as Ivy but I prefer Kidman as a blonde even though that's not her original hair color (while the character should definitely be a redhead).
Thurman also had a slender physique and long legs but I wonder if the general audiences don't like that look for a villain, thinks it makes her look too non-threatening and hence more comical/ridiculous.
True about Thurman, although for some reason Kidman strikes me as more petite and feminine, even though both women are tall and slim. Plus, I think Kidman has a more classical type of beauty than Thurman. And I must admit, I prefer Kidman as a red-head (I tend to prefer women with their natural hair colour, or at least the hair colour they've been most associated with since the start of their career - I realise that many famous Hollywood 'blondes' tend to dye their hair).

I think Uma and Nicole are both hot. Nicole would've been a good choice to play Poison Ivy I'm sure. The character might have been even lovelier than Uma's version. Both versions of the character probably could've easily tricked me into kissing them.
I just think Nicole suits the part even more. She's a beautiful, slender natural red-head who gives off a highly intelligent vibe, and can also play the deadly femme fatale.
I have little doubt that had Joel Schumacher not already cast Nicole as 'Dr. Chase Meridian', she would have been his first choice for 'Poison Ivy'.
What do you think?

I see Poison Ivy as a green-eyed, red-head. Plus, I'm not the biggest fan of J-Lo's acting, apart from 'Out of Sight'. And I don't think she has the right body-shape for the part either.
