So bad it's great!

I haven't seen this movie since it was released but recently bought the blu-ray box set. I remember hating it with a passion back in the day, but now I have to say it's pretty spectacular for all the wrong reasons.

Everyone is chewing scenery like it's the last rations on a sinking lifeboat. It's so magnificently over the top and campy that it makes the Adam West Batman Seem gritty by comparison. I'm only 45 minutes in but already we've had some horrendous and awesome scenes like the ice skate fight, surfing on rocket doors, and horny guy auction fest, not to mention the wonderfully homoerotic gearing up montage in the opening credits.

Could you imagine the cognitive dissonance if Joel Schumacher had been allowed to make his version of the gritty Batman Year One like ha planned to?? My guess it would have been one fantastic train wreck.

JS belongs in hell, but I don't believe in hell.

This movie is just as cheesy to me as Batman Forever, I don't see how someone could hate this one but like the other.

I freaking love this movie. When pretentious movies give me a headache, this movie is Excedrin.
