This movie premiered on the day of my high school graduation ceremony.
Keep in mind that I wasn't the most studious, and therefore had to attend summer school four years in a row. That first summer was instrumental in me getting my JHS diploma, so I can't say it was a miserable first experience for me. Those three summers following, however, were a disaster, which made me so relieved when the proctor of the U.S. History RCT (the test that determined whether or not I'll be back in summer school) told me, "Okay, you can go home and tell your mom that you graduated." I passed with a 65. So despite what a disgrace "Batman & Robin" is to the franchise, I hold this movie near and dear to my heart simply because it reminds me a of a better, carefree time in my life: no more having to wake up at the crack of dawn. An actual school-free summer AND no returning to school. Old enough to be admitted into a strip club. No bills to pay. Getting laid 24-7 without being pressured into commitment. Oh how I miss those times! Getting old sucks.
