Batman and Robin at the Party

Batman and Robin are on stage at the botanical garden party. So, do they drink and mingle with guests prior to the auction? That would make for an interesting party experience!

It's actually kind of stupid. They should have had Batman and Robin as Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson but then when the *beep* started with Mr. Freeze they could have disappeared but came back in their outfits to fight.

But then people will have asked 'what happened to Bruce and Dick?'

Also, remember that they were preparing to lure Mr. Freeze to the party by auctioning off the diamond. So it made sense that they were prepared and suited for him to arrive.

It was an incredibly stupid scene, period. It was only because it was a cartoonish movie they had it in there.

It would be fun, but they probably wouldn't drink because they would have to be ready for Mr. Freeze.

When you compare them just BEING at the party vs the 1989 movie where Batman was thought to be a "monster" and was a city mystery....kinda RUINS it doesn't it???

After what Batman was thought to have done to the Ice Princess, I don't see how he could ever show his face again! 

I imagine Batman was cleared of the Ice Princess' death when it became clear that Schreck and Cobblepot had "played the stinkin' city like a harp from hell."

The '90s comic book Batman and Robin would have gone to the ball undercover (with disguised faces, so no one recognizes Wayne and Grayson/Todd/Drake or whoever Robin would have been for a particular story) as waiters or somesuch, and only gone "into uniform" when the villains attacked.
