obscures reality; Bourne films better

This is why I stay away from a lot of movies these days. Quite a few unanswered questions, with ending being ridiculous - is this like Face/Off or Mission Impossible or whatever? Who is who? blah blah blah.
Why does the main character before accepting the mission not ask the deeper questions of why he is the only one to tackle this job? Why trust the mission? Sure Shaw pursues him well, but when you are being pursued you have to ask why this person is doing this, does he or she not have anything else better to do? Also, I was a little confused as to why U.S. personnel is sought to help nab a terrorist who committed none of his acts on U.S. soil, only Paris and Vienna.
I don't rate this very high.
