ok, i was just wondering if i could get some peoples' opinions on this. i haven't watched american werewolf in london, or in paris, and i am interested into watching them both. but i would like to know how these movies compare to the following: wolf(1994), and cursed(2005). thanx allot!
Okay, first of all, AWIL & AWIP are great movies. I recommend both. Second, wolf and cursed aren't really the same as AWIP. Cursed is more of a hollywood take on werewolves and wolf plays upon the werewolf myth. While London and Paris use the simple plot of guy gets bite, guy becomes werewolf, guy goes crazy, with some added elements in between. Hopes this helps. Sorry if its confusing.
Cursed is more of a special effects modern rehash of the whole werewolf thing and is nothing anything special at all, Its pretty routine, entertaining but obvious. Wolf is alright nothing great just pretty average movie. AWIL is a superb werewolf movie, the film doesnt rely on its special effects and the there are some truly scary scenes in it. AWIL is a more realistic (i know werewolfs dont exist if though i wish i had a pet werewolf) and with his dead friend following him it adds more of kick and disturbing effect. AWIL is old school werewolf movie and thats why it kicks ass because the director goes for scares and thrills and gets it right with a small budget than what Wolf or cursed could of ever achieved. Also the wchanging scenes are more realistic and grusome. AWIP is simply a remake but its pretty cool and nothing special but still highly enjoyable
Check out Howling Silver bullet .....both a lot better than wolf, cursed or AWIP
I totally agree with you hellblazer83, only I like AWIP a little better than AWIL. And the werewolf-changing in AWIL are the best I've ever seen!! Love Wolf and love Cursed (except for the bad computeranimated wolfs, they could have, no SHOULD have been better.) I also love Silver Bullet. It's a great werewolf-movie. Two other really good werewolf-movies are Dog Soldiers and Bad Moon. OMG, I allmost forgot my alltime favourite Full Eclips. It's one of a kind! Great story! Don't really care much for the Howling-movies though. They were a big disappointment to me. The only one of them that was decent was Howling VI-The Freaks because there were two really good actors in it. Brendan Hughes and Bruce Payne. But the wolf looked ridicolous! Pissed me of. Sorry all who like the Howling-movies. I hope I have'nt offended you. It's only my oppinion.
