i enjoyed it.
it didn't change my life, the acting wasn't outstanding and it wasn't memorable.
but it entertained me, and isn't that what movies are supposed to do?
so what if it wasn't fantastic? i liked it, and it held my attention. period.
and that girl can sing, not to mention the lyrics for "never too far" are enough to make anyone with a heart, cry.

I found this movie, and only watched it, because it was on the IMDB bottom 100 movies, and I felt like watching some real crap tonight.
However, I was thinking the same thing while viewing it. Sure, it's not particularly great, and there's no worthwhile statement in it, and perhaps it is just a little vanity project for Miss Mariah, and maybe the stakes aren't that high, among other things... but one of the worst 100 movies ever?! And a Razzie?! That seems a little severe. It wasn't God-Awful. Okay, sure some of the love scenes made me a little queasy and I fast forwarded through them... but there's many-a-worse movie out there than this one.
People rated it low because it's Mariah Carey and they think she's an entitled and undeserving Diva.
Butterfly was a great album, and sure she made some bad choices, but haven't we all?
