I've never seen the movie, and don't plan on seeing it, but I'm just wondering what makes it so terrible?

I cant remember its been so long. I saw it when I was 11 with a friend, and i remember getting up and walking out of the theater about about 45 minutes into it...And this is coming from someone who used to enjoy watching waterworld. It must have been really bad.

Bad acting, boring songs, unlikable characters. That enough for you?

It's not nearly as bad as people have been making it out to be. Almost like hating the movie was hip. It's not great. Could'a had tons more texture cuz it often felt like you were watching...something rehearsed. Mariah didn't do a bad job. It was the character development that lacked so I agree somewhat with the last poster.
