He put his own grandchildren through an obstacle course that included fire, shooting stuff at them, had an eight year old climbing a cargo net. then he shut the lights out on them and fend for themselves.
shareIt's maybe because he was giving them an most challenging training + he lives in the countryside as well so it's unlikely anyone will notice anything and I don't think Colt, Rocky & Tum Tum wouldn't call the police or anyone on their own grandpa either. Also, even though they didn't manage to complete the lights out training, I think it helped them out when they were on the ship and they were fighting against those guys with night goggles. Before anyone asks, I can't remember the last time I've seen the movie so what I said there might or might not be true.
