love the movie but the ending sucks (spoilers)

I don't know I just thought the ending could have been better(not when they are playing roulet i mean when they both shoot themselves). I sorta wish Ceazar(however you spell it) would realize he needed to change or somthing. I guess the whole movie felt like it was building toward somthing else so much so that it was sort of dissapointing at the end. Kinda like a little suspense movie called Black Cadelac. The movie was great but the end was just.....ugh it built up to much and fell flat. Does anyone agree or am I just a moron?

I think the ending echoes garfield's dissapointment in his pupils attitudes towards life. He died to try and teach Cesar a lesson, but Cesar, in my opinion, couldn't be taught thus why he ended up shooting himself. I personally think the ending is a powerful statment in that sense.

Well it was powerful. But I don't know maybe its just being a fan of Clifton collins jr (or in this movie clifton gonzalas gonzalas) and wish he lived. I don't know though it just seamed like it built and built and built and then crumbled.

I wish he lived too, but I didn't expect him to shoot himself, I didn't even expect Garfield to shoot himself, so in that sense those unexpected twists made the film for me.

i mean either way theyre life's were screwed. they made it worse for these other. garfield did something so bad to cesar that he deserved to get killed for it. if i was cesar i would get garfield arrested or killed for doing something that h*rr***e to me. thats crime. straight up. garfield probly knew he was gonna die. he was ready. if u cant handle people then u cant handle life. the movie was one of them movies like the teachers give up on themselves not make things better like dangerous minds. too depressing. doesnt get no plays on tv.

If you were in Cezar's shoes, running to the cops would make you look weak. Cezar is suppose to be some thug leader (after his friend was killed) so running to the cops would damage his pride.
