why the head shaving
is it a latino warrior thing or what
"Why am I Mr. Pink?"
I wondered that too. I was thinking that it could be because they didn't want to leave any hair at the scene so they coiuldn't be linked but then i realised that was really stupid so im just thinking it was a fashion statement lol

Its not a real ritual, but intended to be one in the movie. They also did it to serve as a rite of passage for the new guy they were inducting into K.O.S.

Thats actually *beep* Not every Mexican with the cholo style look shaves his head to show he is in a gang or "acting like they are in a gang". I know too many Chicanos with shaved heads that aren't in gangs, its just a style like wearing Dickies or locs. You must be 13.

Most likely, it's probably a gang thing, but even so, personally, I find shaving one's head completely bald to be rather unattractive (no offence intended, mind)
Most gangbangers look better with just a bandana around their hair.
I have my head shaved and girls do not find that unattractive i get girls all over the parties/clubs whatever it all depends the city you are leaving in im from the san fernando valley - california so its a common thing down here i do it because it looks good on me and i hate the gel in my hair in summer!!
"Son Im Captain Jack Sparrow, Savvy"
Johnny Depp - Pirates of The Caribbean
This is a pretty old post but I remember that scene really bugging me. I have a theory on it and now it's my opportunity to share it.
Since this movie was written by a teacher, he's seen how some students at the beginning of the school year can be introduced to certain crowds. They change the way they dress, act, look, etc. When some get introduced into gangs they shave their heads. It's kinda like a uniform for gangbangers. Not to say that all gangsters shave their heads (and not saying that all people w/ shaved heads are gangsters) but it's fairly common. I figured that the writer noticed this, didn't know why and made this ridiculous scene up. People don't shave their heads before they commit crimes, or join gangs. It's usually prior, when they start to get into these things that their appearance begins to change.
They all shaved their heads so that they could all look alike, like Benny the guy that got killed, he had a shaved head remember? The teacher was already starting to lose his mind they knew that and wanted to play on that so they all shaved their heads so that once in the house they could distract him by making him think there was only one person sneak up on him and all three of them get em.
shareExcept he knew they were coming...
"In Here, Ceaser..." was his exact words, If I recall...
Take a Screenshot, It'll last longer!
I caught this late on television last night, I didn't see the start, but the significance of shaving their heads (or more the scene of the blond boy shaving his head in the back seat of the car)?
I may be off the mark, but could it be possible that it simply signified that they were all in it together, as in they all agreed/believed/decided that the teacher should die? All of them having shaved heads sort of signifies that they share something or belong to something whatever that may be (I guess in this instance it was the gang?)
actually, i just watched this about half an hour ago, i think they shaved their heads as tribute to benny. But then again i never understood the gangster subculture.
sharehead shaving is considered a ritual amongst mexican prison gangs. when a large group of gang members shave their heads on the same day, thats bad news. its an early warning sign for prison guards that an attack or prison riot is going to take place. thats the way Sureno and La Eme gangsters prepare for battle and murder. i guess these guys were following that code
