I was pretty sure it meant 'mother*beep* too, but a friend told me today that 'maricone' means: queer or fag.

For some reason, I thought that was a different word.

Maricon does mean gay person, fag, queer, etc. The latino guys (aregentinian, mexican, colombian, nicuraguan, panamanian) I used to work with actually put a string of expletives together with "maricon". They used to say, "Pinche puto maricon!". It kinda means you are a worthless (pinche) whore (puto - masculine)...and you know what maricon means.

maricon is the spanish slang equivalent of fag got not 'gay person' .. when someone says 'you are a maricon' in spanish they're not calling you a 'gay person' lol

Maricon de playa is my favorite spanish expression, very funny, especially at the beach.
