Come on really? I know this is supposed to be an 'urban' setting with street kids, but don't teachers have to pre-approve (and proof-read) their students' speeches??

If you remember the movie Garfield/Jackson specifically advised her (while reviewing one of her papers) of the Grammar but noted in speeches (or as spoken) it's sometimes acceptable/allowable.

Though I have to agree in that setting MOST Schools (I believe) would've corrected that statement.
