IMDB and a few other sources list the running time for Rough Riders as 240 minutes. Yet the DVD's run-time is about 180 minutes.
Is this just an error? Was the miniseries as presented on TV originally longer? If so, does anyone know what was cut out?

I saw 'Rough Riders' when it originally aired on TNT over two nights in July 1997 and nothing has been cut on the DVD from the original broadcast. 240 minutes was the length with commercials included.
