James Spader's Alan Shore

James Spader's Alan Shore is one of my all-time favorite characters. He would go great length to help people. He extremely cares about his friends and extremely loyal to them. There are so many interesting shades and nuances of his personality. He is a talented lawyer. Spader's performance is on the top-most form throughout season 8. His screen presence is like a lion. He is one of the exceptionally sensitive actors. His facial expressions and vocabulary fascinate me. So does William Shatner as Denny Crane. I get nailed to the couch watching their work, my jaw drops.
This season is a breath of fresh air and a break from the Ellenor's constipated face and Eugene's pet-monkey Jimmy.
