Denny Crane Episodes

I want to start watching Boston Legal, but first want to see if I can get my hands on the 5 episodes of The Practice that featured Denny Crane. My understanding is that those episodes really establish his character, so I want to watch them before Boston Legal. I remember when Season One of BL was released, there were limited sets that included a bonus disc of The Practice episodes.

Anybody know where I can get my hands on those episodes? Please advise. Thanks.

I would like to see them (again), too. I have been eagerly anticipating them to come up on FX, and as season 7 just ended, they would be next to play. Unfortunately, it looks as if FX may be finished with them. I'm hoping that I'm wrong. Keep an eye on FX just in case as they had been showing reruns on weekend mornings (7a or 8a). You can check the episode guide on IMDb for upcoming air times.

Barring that, I don't know of any way to see them.

I really wish they would release the entire series on DVD.

I picked up a bootleg set of Season 8. Not preferable because I'm a stickler for picture/sound quality, BUT...it was the only way. Regardless of the subpar DVD transfers, I'm glad I did it because I cannnot imagine watching Boston Legal WITHOUT seeing season 8 of The Practice. There is so much foundation laid about Denny & Alan's characters. To not see those episodes would be a real loss.

I'm half way through Season 3 of BL now. My god. One of the greatest shows ever. EVER!

I prefer the way that Alan and Denny are portrayed on TP.
A little more serious and more subtle humor.
