Another Dis to The Practice from DEK
On NBC there is a promo for the DEK show with Kathy Bates. It says from the creator of All McBeal and Boston Legal.
No mention of The Practice.

That's NBC's doing. I doubt DEK told them to ignore The Practice. DEK is not in charge of promoting the shows. The network does that.

As Lakemystery3 said, that would be NBC's doing. I have, however, seen promos that mention The Practice as well as Ally McBeal and Boston Legal. Those are online though, so I don't know about the ones that NBC are airing on their channel.
I would assume, though, that rather than it being a case of ignoring The Practice, they are simply mentioning David E. Kelley's shows that are similar in tone and therefore will likely have a similar audience.

There was an ep of Ally McBeal where Helen and Ally cross paths in the courthouse halls. Helen tells Ally how thin she thinks she looks and says, "Maybe you could eat a cookie." Ally replies, "Maybe we could share one."
