Why Did Lawrence O'Malley Call Lindsay Clarissa???

i assume it was to show that he was faking it??? but it seems so weak... whether or not he was faking being hannibal lector wouldn't he know foster's name was clarice??? everyone knows this even those who haven't seen the movie. i mean he might as well have said Hannibal Leonard to Bobby. any feedback would be appreciated.

I'm not sure, I assume it was to show he had very little knowledge of Hannibal or any if the related characters.

The episode episodes on this showed Bobby to a crap of a husband. He could not even protect his wife, Lindsey.

Maybe you didn't watch it complete. Even Lindsay corrects him, in an ironically tone, the first time he's calling her clarissa, that "if he pretends to be hannibal lector, he must call her 'clarice'".
