Just watched this episode again and I think it would be great if young Howard would be on the show again as a PC or a DC who is an expert at sleight of hand. The character would be in his mid to late 20s by now. I'd like to see him talk to John about watching Tom investigate the murders and how that led him to police work. Maybe make him a recurring character who can help the team.

I like that kid, he totally made that episode. But he was probably a blip on the producers radar, along with 100's of other guest actors.
