Was Jimmy Wichard Tommy's father
Just wondered this. Before he leaves Tommy said that his father told him he couldn't leave until he had somebody to replace him. Usually it would be leaving to do something else. Not really caring if there was somebody to replace you.
I for example am planning to hand in my resignation for my current job when my HND begins after the summer. My parents have nothing to do with the company. When I leave I'm not taking any other factor into account, how long it takes to replace me, or even if the other guy happens to leave at the same time. I don't think he will but it doesn't effect whether I stay or leave.
That's why I was thinking Jimmy might be Tommy's father. Why else would Tommy's father care if there was nobody to replace Tommy after he left? Unless it was his father that had hired him and would be effected by him leaving.
The rule did kind of backfire anyway, Bobby was there, say, less than a week? Before Hank caught Jimmy trying to make Bobby cross the track during a race and probably took him out of the job, or at least Bobby is never seen working at the race track again. So Tommy got to leave after finding a replacement and his replacement was gone within a week.
