'Johnny Bravo'... The movie?!

I read somewhere that Warner Brothers was making a live action version of Johnny Bravo with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I don't know if its a rumor. I also don't know if its based on the cartoon or a remake of that other film I saw in the 'name and title search', but I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on the cartoon. If anyone has any information about this project, I would really like to hear it. Thank-you!

reply

Oh come on. Slap a blonde wig on the Rock and he's perfect for it. He like Johnny has a bit of that Elvis attitude. I know my son would love it

That movie would suck ass!!! Rock, I love you, man, but dude. What the *beep*? Are you really that desperate? this is what Warner Bros. will due to the film when it bombs. Then rock will go: and WB will die. Just remember my words. Johnny Bravo movie = big mistake.

reply

Unless of course if the brilliant Gary Hartle and 99-01 (fundamental) crew is used with Mr. V. Reading this Rock? Tee hee.

reply

I dont know what WB's problem is. They insist on doing everything live. They wont do an animated featurefilm, even though it has been proven succesfull, with South Park and Beavis and Butthead.

Whoa, that's too extreme!!

It should be better off as an animated movie.

What about a live cast for POWERPUFF GIRLS

Blossom....Drew Berrymore
Bubbles....Cameron Diaz
Buttercup....Lucy Lu
Professor Utonium....Bill Murry
along with a CGI Mojo Jojo voiced by the guy who did the cartoon one, Roger Jackson.

See that's why it's better off as a cartoon. Who gives a @#$%~!?*& that it flops. Maybe it was way ahead of it's time or something. As the book, "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Screen", said on a chapter about dino films in the 80's: "Right Project, Wrong Time".

Now a good example for Universal about getting the right project at the right time is

Peanuts the Movie or The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Movie.

Jason Alexander as Charlie Brown
Rosie O Donnel as Lucy
Chris Kattan as Linus
Reese Witherspoon as Sally
Linda Cardellini as Marcie
Ellen De Generous as Perppermint Patty
Orlando Jones or Martin Lawrence as Franklin
Freddi Prince Jr or Rick Moranis as Schroder
Horatio Sans as Pigpen
With make-up by Rick Baker or Tom Savini
And a CGI (by ILM) and Animatronic (by Jim Henson's Creature Shop) versions of Snoopy (voice of Tom Kenny), Spike (voice of Jim Cummings), Olaf (voice of Brad Garret), Andy (voice of Rip Taylor), Marbles (voice of Charlie Adler, Belle (voice of E.G. Daily), plus Woodstock, along with the villain The Cat Next Door (voice of Frank Welker). This film will carry out the message: "Not your parents kind of Peanuts". Peanuts: The Movie. This film is wacky as you can't imagine.

What do you think?

reply

Hey, ultramatt2000-1, sorry I didn't believe you about this movie when you told me on the odd parents boards.

But I think if they do a Johnny Bravo flick, it needs to be animated. Part of the humor is the way he's drawn, the way he acts that no real human can duplicate. This is gonna be so gay.

You're right.

Hahahaha. While we're at it, why don't we have McG direct it and call it Charlies Angels: Powerpuff Edition.

Thanks for the fun. Love your post.

in the movie hes looking for his dad

Let's see how many overused, overpaid stars we can throw into a single movie!

Seriously.

reply

oh, and this would be a cast for "south park":
Cartman-wayne knight
Kyle-jim carrey
Stan-Matt Broderick
Kenny-some unknown never had any acting lessons

so would that boost up the ratings? maybe.

You know, there actually WAS a South Park movie, right?

reply

In the 1950's bad movies were, poorly made movies. Since the mid 90's onwards, they are remakes and cartoon-based films.

But there was an actual South Park movie made in 1999. It is animated.

Oh yeah. Mc G's PPGs. Very funny.

Congradulations.
You are speaking my language.

BILLY AND MANDY is stupid.
I hate it. Because of the boy. The only good part is the Grim Reaper himself.
EVIL CON CARNE has class. But you say it's silly.
I am not offended.

The only thing is that JOHNNY BRAVO should be due out 10 or 15 years from now.
It is got something to do with time and project.
