Would you say it was the best storyline they ever did and could they do anything differently? I felt Buffy was a young girl in love, being stalked by someone she didn't know was crazy and was a bad not once so I felt it worked in the long run.
Imo it was one of the best story lines if you include what Angelus did to Jenny Calendar and stuff like that; suddenly you understood that the show had taken its gloves off. And I really love 'I only have eyes for you', it's one of my favorite episodes.
That ghost story is really touching. I love how they capture the essence of the fifties. It was scary and romantic. A good foreshadow of Buffy's relationship.
It really was a great episode.
I think it made even more of an impact because by that stage we were all so shocked by 'Angelus' and his pure hatred and vengeance on Buffy, that it was a slight relief (and gave us hope) when he kissed her again when he was being possessed by the 50's school teacher's ghost.
That was specular. My favorite part is when they are reunited. I felt crushed for Buffy when he ran off and wanted the foursome presence of humanity gone.
It's almost like becoming. Angel is back, he had a soul and kissed Buffy. You thought they could be together again only for the mouth of hell to open. I cried the first time.
As a 'dude', i feel the show's drama peaked there. Not to say the rest of the show didnt have great stories, but season 2, imo was just perfect. Angel was a great story and his turn was just so damn personal. The ending where she has to kill him after he returns... gut wrenching.
I agree. I made me fall in love with Sarah as a teen. She's beautiful even if she cries. I think the only other scene that matched it was forever where she talks to Dawn about Mom
I loved it as high schooler. Now as adult I still think David is HOT....but I don't think it would have worked. Having myself had more relationships, I realize Buffy needed to grow.
